First off, I have to say that this yarn is a real pleasure to work with. The 100% premium acrylic fiber is incredibly soft and easy to handle, and it has a great drape for a chunky yarn that makes it perfect for a wide variety of projects.
One thing that really stands out about the Big Value Chunky yarn from King Cole is its versatility. It comes in a wide range of colors, from bright and bold to more muted and understated shades, so you’re sure to find the perfect match for your project. Plus, it’s a chunky weight yarn, which means it crochets up quickly and is perfect for projects that require a bit more heft, like blankets or scarves.
The stitch definition is excellent, too. Whether you’re working on a cable pattern or something more simple like a ribbed scarf, the texture really pops with this yarn. because of the 2 ply. And even though it’s a chunky weight, it’s not at all bulky or heavy, so you can still wear your finished projects comfortably.
One thing to note is that this yarn is machine washable, which makes it ideal for projects that will get a lot of wear and tear. It’s also affordable, so you won’t have to break the bank to stock up on enough yarn for your next project.
I even did a wash and wear test (watch the video below) and this yarn held up surprisingly well!
