The Stark Cardi Crochet Pattern | KT and the Squid

If you enjoyed The Kram Cardi CAL this brand new pattern will be the perfect next step up for you! I took the same basic design and tailored it. I added a set in sleeve which is a great fit no matter your body type and I also added some body shaping for those of us who have a little more room in our rumps 😉

I also wanted to use a different yarn. I chose Berroco’s Vintage DK. Vintage DK is a thinner yarn than what I used for the Kram Cardi. It also contains 52% acrylic, 40% wool and 8% nylon. This yarn is easy to care for, it’s light and comes in several beautiful colors. It usually comes at a great price for the yardage too. You will need 5-9 hanks depending on the size you’re making.

I have to say I just LOVE how this cardigan came out. The fit is just lovely. It’s perfect for wearing out and about or just lounging around the house.

The Stark Cardi is written for sizes  XS(S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X) for a bust of 28”(32”, 36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”) and finished busts are 32”(36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”, 56”). The sample is modeled in size S on a 34” bust. I have also included a detailed schematic with more measurements to help you pick the best size for you.

I rate this pattern at an intermediate level. Skills needed include working in the front loop, single crochet, double crochet, foundation stitches and seaming. There’s some great information in my Kram Cardi CAL if you need help.

  1. Just bought this and can’t wait to start! My pattern download didn’t pop up, but I was on the cell so I’ll grab it off the computer and get my yarn ordered. Thank you for such great patterns!
