Materials:
• H hook
• Worsted weight yarn
• Scissors
• Yarn needle

Abbreviations:
Ch= chain
Ss= slip stitch
Hdc= half double crochet
Dc= double crochet
Fpdc= front post double crochet
Bpdc= back post double crochet

Gauge:
Approximately 6dcs by 3.6 rows = 2” square

Notes:
• Read all instructions before beginning.
• This hat is worked in rounds.
• The ch1 or ch2 at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a stitch.
• Always join to the 1st stitch of the round with a slip stitch and work the 1st stitch of
the next round in the same stitch you joined into.
• I like to start my hats with a magic ring. If you do not know this technique you
may also start the hat with 3 chs and working the first round into the 3rd ch from
the hook.
• After you have finished the hat you will then make two ears and sew them on.
