Ch = chain

St = stitch

Ss = slip stitch

Sc = single crochet

Dc = double crochet

Fpdc = front post double crochet

Bpdc = back post double crochet

Notes

  • Please read all instructions before beginning.
  • This hat is worked in the round, you will join with a ss to the first st of the round. The ch 1 or ch 2 will not count as a st.
  • The ch 3 at the beginning may be replaced with a magic ring.
  • I have used 2 colors MC (main color) and CC (contrasting color).

With MC ch 3 (does not count as a st)

Round 1Dc 9 in 3rd ch from hook, join. (9)

Round 2 – Ch 2 (does not count as a st from here on), 2 dc in every st around, join. (18)

Round 3 – Ch 2, dc in 1st, 2 dc in next *dc in next, 2 dc in next; repeat from * around, join. (27)

Round 4 – Ch 2, dc in 1st 2, 2 dc in next *dc in next 2, 2 dc in next; repeat from * around, join. (36)

Round 5 – Ch 2, dc in 1st 3,2 dc in next *dc in next 3, 2 dc in next; repeat from * around, join. (45)
